This kitchen project began with the idea of a complete renovation without removing the side wall adjacent to the hallway, and with the request for a spacious area for daily meals with the children. The owners’ boldness and their trust in Buraglia led us to develop an open-plan kitchen design.
The cabinetry is finished in silk white lacquer with a push-to-open system, even for the integrated appliances such as the refrigerator and freezer, which feature an electric motor-assisted opening system.
The most prominent feature of the design is the peninsula, which offers a large work area and defines the kitchen space with a bar that serves as a breakfast bar and dining area with comfortable, upholstered, high-backed stools.
The details of the indirect LED lighting in the cabinetry and ceiling, the integration of the induction cooktop in white glass matching the countertop, and the ceiling-mounted extractor hood, also in white, lend a neutral and spacious feel to this very complete kitchen. We added a touch of mink color with the vinyl wallpaper on the sink wall and the upholstery on the stools.
